Samantha binaries and JLinkage source code released
Just a quick news to announce that the Samantha binaries (for non-commercial use) and the J-Linkage code (bsd license) has been released on the 3dflow website.

The university of Verona has a new spin-off: 3DFlow.
3Dflow will provide cutting-edge solutions and software components involving Computer Vision and Image Processing.
ECCV and VC journal
I’ve added two new papers that were accepted to the European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV – Heraklion, Crete) and the Visual Computer Journal.
The first paper describes a method to extract a meaningful triangulated surface from sparse, noisy, unstructured points clouds typically produced by a SaM pipeline. This is an ongoing research and I hope to improve the results by the end of my phd. A video with some results is shown below:
The second paper is an extension of a previous work on mesh Retrieval using a Bag of Words approach.
Vips advanced school
The 9th Vips advanced school on Numerical Geometry of NonRigid Shapes will take place in Verona, 19-23 April. The invited speaker will be Alex and Michael Bronstein. Further information can be found here here.
